Thailand’s Phang Nga Bay offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. Over seven days, we swapped Koh Chang for the Andaman coast and its cathedral-like karst islands.
Days 1–2 — Arrival & the karsts
After arriving in Phuket, we set off for Phang Nga Bay — also known for its James Bond Island. Paddling through the narrow passages between the towering limestone formations, we explored hidden caves and lagoons and swam in crystal-clear water.
Day 3 — Mangrove forests
A kayaking expedition through the mangrove forests — dense foliage, a serene atmosphere, and various bird species and wildlife along the way. A truly immersive lesson in the ecology that keeps the bay in balance.
Day 4 — Island hopping & snorkelling
We explored the neighbouring island of Koh Hong on foot, discovering hidden beaches and coves, then snorkelled among colourful tropical fish over vibrant coral reefs.
Day 5 — The caves of Khao Phing Kan
A guided exploration of the eroded limestone caves, through narrow passages to hidden chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites — a genuine natural wonder.
Days 6–7 — Rest & return
After days of adventure we took time to relax on pristine beaches before heading back to Phuket — already planning our next visit to this beautiful corner of the world.
