9 Day Sea Kayak Expedition

A full circumnavigation of Koh Chang and beyond — 154 km of wild coastline, lush east-coast jungle and the islands out to Koh Mak.

Overview

9 Day Sea Kayak Expedition

This expedition circumnavigates Koh Chang, opening up the wonderful lush vegetation of the rarely-seen east coast, and extends out to Koh Mak and the islands we love on the way there and back. Covering more than 150 km with some days around 25 km, it is for experienced, capable kayakers comfortable with long days and open-water crossings. We paddle 8 of the 9 days, with a rest day on Koh Mak.

Good to know

Common questions

Do I need previous kayaking experience?

Yes — this is a challenging trip for water-confident, experienced kayakers with a good level of fitness, comfortable with open-water crossings. Not sure? Tell us your experience and we’ll recommend the right trip.

How big are the groups?

Small and personal — a maximum 1:6 guide-to-paddler ratio, up to 7 guests, so you get real coaching and a better experience.

What equipment is provided?

Everything technical — Tiderace kayaks, Werner & GearLab paddles, Palm buoyancy aids, spraydecks, dry bags, snorkelling and full safety gear. You just bring the personal items on our What to Bring list.

When can I do this trip?

Season: Nov–Jan. Tell us your dates and we’ll match you to the right departure — or arrange a private group booking.

Is it safe?

Safety comes first. Buoyancy aids are worn at all times, our guides are qualified and first-aid trained, every multi-day trip begins with a familiarisation day, and we carry full safety and repair kit.

How do I book?

Booking is a conversation, not a checkout. Message us on WhatsApp, LINE or email. A 25% deposit secures your place; the balance is due at least 6 weeks before you paddle.
