Sea Kayak Leader Assessment
The Sea Kayak Leader has the skills and judgement to select appropriate environments for paddlers with a range of experience. Successful performance at this level shows that a candidate has the personal skill and leadership ability required to lead a group on short journeys — 6 to 8 miles, of at least 3 hours’ paddling — single or multi-day, in a moderate tidal-water environment with winds not exceeding Beaufort Force 4.
Assessment takes place over two days. Koh Chang’s varied coastline and islands provide the ideal environment to demonstrate everything you have trained for.
