12 Day Expedition — Version 2

An alternative 12-day route — 208 km that circumnavigates Koh Chang itself and reaches lesser-known islands for a rare glimpse of local Thai life.

Overview

12 Day Expedition — Version 2

Our alternative longest route: ten days of kayaking with two rest days (Koh Mak and Salak Phet). This version circumnavigates Koh Chang and takes in Koh Mai Si Yai, Koh Rang, Koh Mak, Koh Kradat and Koh Khum — including a night in a fisherman’s homestay and an island famous for its colony of deer. It takes in all the highlights of our tours plus the lesser-known corners that offer a rare glimpse of local Thai life.

Good to know

Common questions

Do I need previous kayaking experience?

Yes — this is a challenging trip for water-confident, experienced kayakers with a good level of fitness, comfortable with open-water crossings. Not sure? Tell us your experience and we’ll recommend the right trip.

How big are the groups?

Small and personal — a maximum 1:6 guide-to-paddler ratio, up to 7 guests, so you get real coaching and a better experience.

What equipment is provided?

Everything technical — Tiderace kayaks, Werner & GearLab paddles, Palm buoyancy aids, spraydecks, dry bags, snorkelling and full safety gear. You just bring the personal items on our What to Bring list.

When can I do this trip?

Season: Jan–Feb. Tell us your dates and we’ll match you to the right departure — or arrange a private group booking.

Is it safe?

Safety comes first. Buoyancy aids are worn at all times, our guides are qualified and first-aid trained, every multi-day trip begins with a familiarisation day, and we carry full safety and repair kit.

How do I book?

Booking is a conversation, not a checkout. Message us on WhatsApp, LINE or email. A 25% deposit secures your place; the balance is due at least 6 weeks before you paddle.
