7 Day Sea Kayak Expedition
Our most popular expedition — explore the majority of the marine park all the way to Koh Mak, with big open crossings, a rest day and one magical night of camping.
7 Day Sea Kayak Expedition
Our flagship journey. Travelling as far south as Koh Mak, this is a committing expedition with several open-water crossings of 7 km and more — for water-confident, experienced kayakers with a good level of fitness. Lunches and evenings are spent in secluded bays, and one night of camping on Koh Rang provides a truly magical outdoor experience. There is a well-earned rest day on Koh Mak.
Tour itinerary
Every multi-day expedition begins with a relaxed familiarisation day. Distances are a guide — the sea always has the final say.
Familiarisation Day
Meet, fit kit, brief the route and complete paperwork at our office.
Koh Chang West Coast → Bang Bao
The dramatic west coast rock gardens down to Bang Bao.
Bang Bao → Koh Klum → Koh Wai
A challenging 7 km opening crossing to Koh Klum, then on to Koh Wai and its Paradise Beach snorkelling.
Koh Wai → Koh Kham → Koh Mak SW
An 8 km open crossing to volcanic-black-rock Koh Kham, then down to our resort on Koh Mak.
Rest Day — Koh Mak
The most beautiful of all the islands — explore by bike, moped or on foot, or simply rest.
Koh Mak → Koh Rang circumnavigation → Camp
Past Koh Rayang to the protected Koh Rang for first-class snorkelling, then camp on the beach with real coffee in the pot.
Koh Rang → Koh Wai → Koh Lao Ya → Salak Phet
The longest day — a 9 km crossing via Koh Wai and Koh Lao Ya back to Koh Chang at Salak Phet.
Salak Phet → Wai Chaek → Bang Bao
The final stretch along the south-west coast to finish at Bang Bao — a proud achievement.

Yes — this is a challenging trip for water-confident, experienced kayakers with a good level of fitness, comfortable with open-water crossings. Not sure? Tell us your experience and we’ll recommend the right trip.
How big are the groups?
Small and personal — a maximum 1:6 guide-to-paddler ratio, up to 7 guests, so you get real coaching and a better experience.
What equipment is provided?
Everything technical — Tiderace kayaks, Werner & GearLab paddles, Palm buoyancy aids, spraydecks, dry bags, snorkelling and full safety gear. You just bring the personal items on our What to Bring list.
When can I do this trip?
Season: Nov–Apr. Tell us your dates and we’ll match you to the right departure — or arrange a private group booking.

Safety comes first. Buoyancy aids are worn at all times, our guides are qualified and first-aid trained, every multi-day trip begins with a familiarisation day, and we carry full safety and repair kit.
